4" Threaded Castor Wheel with Dual Leg Adapter Plate

Joining stage decks together? This is the part that lets the join roll.

Where two decks meet, you have two legs sitting side by side, one from each deck. A single castor can only bolt to one of them, which is why a multi-deck stage won't wheel on standard castors. The dual leg adapter plate solves it. The plate bolts across both legs at once and carries one castor underneath, so the join rolls as a single unit and the two decks are tied together at floor level.

That makes this the castor you need if you are building anything bigger than one deck. Fit them at every deck-to-deck join and the whole stage becomes a rolling stage. Skip them and you are back to pulling the stage apart every time the room needs to change.

Pack down is the slowest part of any stage job, and this removes most of it. Set the stage up once, wheel it between rooms, push it clear for a function, roll it back for the next event. No dismantling, no re-levelling, no second crew member. Laser cut steel plate, powder coated, supplied with all bolts and nuts.

The castor itself is a 4" swivel with a side-lock brake. Step the lever down and the wheel is locked. Grey non-marking rubber tyre rolls quietly on timber, carpet, vinyl and concrete, and won't scuff a finished floor. Suited to schools, churches, function centres, theatres, hotels and any venue where the stage has to move but the floor has to stay clean.

It comes into its own on rolling risers. Build a two deck drum riser once, wheel it on for the set, brake it, and roll it off at the end of the night. Same for choir and band risers in a school hall or church: get the decks joined and built, then move them out of the way when the room is needed for something else. A riser that rolls is a riser that stays built, which saves you the setup time on every single use.
