Description

Fifteen metres is the cable for when you're working at scale. Festival main stage to FOH position. Outdoor event power distribution across multiple zones. Large amphitheatres where equipment is positioned at distance from the primary power source. This is where the 15m cable proves its worth.

The festival reality: You're setting up for a multi-day music festival or large outdoor corporate event. The main power distribution is centralised at one point. Your FOH mixing position, lights rig, and video systems are spread across 12 to 15 metres of ground. You need power that reaches reliably without creating trip hazards or requiring multiple extension leads that degrade safety and signal integrity.

Why festivals and large events specify 15m: This is the cable that lets you plan your power distribution once and not revisit it. Outdoor events, open-air markets, festival grounds. All operate with distributed equipment layouts. A 15m cable with piggy back plug gives you the reach to power multiple zones from a single circuit, with the ability to daisy-chain additional devices without hunting for secondary outlets.

The piggy back plug design is critical in festival scenarios. Multiple vendors, multiple departments, multiple stages. They all need power. You plug into the house outlet, and three other operators can plug into the back of your cable. You've solved the power distribution problem without creating a cable management nightmare.

Rated 10A at 240V with full SAA certification and 2.4kW maximum load, the 15m cable is rated for the Australian climate and tested in the conditions you'll actually encounter: outdoor heat, moisture, movement, and extended use. Built to operate reliably across the -20°C to +70°C temperature range, the 15m cable performs in festival heat and cold outdoor nights. The 8mm cable diameter is stiff enough to maintain shape under tension, yet flexible enough to route around obstacles and coil for transport. 3-core 1.5mm² 99.99% oxygen-free copper conductors deliver consistent power across the full 15m run. Connector durability rated to 5,000+ insertion cycles, critical for festival work where the cable gets plugged and unplugged constantly across multiple operators. Every production batch is electrically tested at the factory before dispatch.

Used by studios technical teams when they tour events in Australia, major festival production companies, and large outdoor event coordinators across the country. When you need reach without compromise, when safety and professional standards are non-negotiable, the 15m cable is proven across Australia's biggest events.

After: Your event powers up safely. All zones are supplied. The cable is the invisible backbone of professional delivery.

Reviews

FAQs

Will the cable lose power over 15 metres?

The voltage drop at full 10A load over 15 metres is approximately 1.8V on a 240V supply, which is under 1%. That's well within safe operating margins for all professional AV equipment. The 99.99% oxygen-free copper conductors keep resistance low across the full run. Your gear gets clean, stable power at the end of the cable.

How heavy is a 15m cable to transport?

A 15m IEC cable with piggy back plug weighs approximately 1.9kg. It coils to roughly the size of a dinner plate. For touring crews packing multiple cables, it's no heavier than a standard 15m extension lead. The 8mm diameter gives it enough stiffness to coil neatly without tangling in your road case.

Can this cable handle Australian summer heat at outdoor festivals?

Yes. The operating temperature range is -20°C to +70°C, and the heat resistance rating is 70°C. Australian summer ground temperatures at festivals can reach 50 to 60°C on dark surfaces. This cable is rated well above that. It's been used at major outdoor festivals across Australia in peak summer conditions.

Is 15m too long for indoor use?

Not if the run requires it. Large conference centres, exhibition halls, and warehouse venues often have 12 to 15 metre gaps between power distribution and equipment positions. The key is matching cable length to actual distance. If you only need 10 metres, buy the 10m to avoid excess cable management. But for genuinely long runs in large indoor spaces, 15m is the right tool.
